New York Yankees star player, Aaron Judge, and his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, have something of a fairytale love story. The two met when they were only just teenagers, and have since gotten married, making them official high school sweethearts. That said, there isn't much information on the duo as both Aaron and Samantha try to keep their relationship as private as possible. Aaron's Instagram includes only two photos of the couple together, while Samantha doesn't appear to have any social media pages herself.
Heavily focused on his baseball career (which is clearly paying off—Aaron hit a record-breaking 62nd home run in October 2022), he almost never speaks about his personal life to the press. Samantha, on the other hand, doesn't seem interested in being in the spotlight. What we do know, though, is that she earned a graduate degree in exercise science at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), and is an aspiring college professor, according to Hollywood Life.
As mentioned, while information on the couple isn't readily available, there are some things we do know. Here's a look at Aaron Judge and Samantha Brasieck's biggest relationship moments so far.
- Aaron and Samantha met in high school in 2010.
- They seemed to become more serious in 2019 after dating other people.
- Engagement rumors ran rampant in 2021.
- In December 2021, the two got married in a secret ceremony in Hawaii.
2010: Teenage Love
Aaron and Samantha grew up in the small town of Linden, California, where they both went to high school. During those years, the two dated on and off; and after graduation, they both went on to attend Fresno State.
2014: First Instagram Photo
In November 2014, Aaron posted one of his only Instagram photos featuring Samantha. The rare social media appearance is also probably the first time the two were photographed together publicly.
The post is a collage of photos taken during a marathon in an unknown city. One photo is just Aaron and Samantha, and another is of a couple who seem to be Aaron's parents. In the caption, he wrote, "Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and always be grateful for what you have! #GodBless #5k."
2019: Making Things Official
Things between Aaron and Samantha didn't seem serious—and more public—until about 2019. In September 2019, Aaron and Samantha made one of their first public appearance at C.C. Sabathia's LegaCCy Gala, which they attended alongside Aaron's parents.
Before getting more serious with Samantha, though, Aaron was linked to Sterling Olmstead, Jen Flaum, and Brittany "Britt" Hodges.
February 2020: Dealing With Controversy
In late February 2020, Samantha got caught in a controversial situation when TMZ reported that she had been arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona for driving under the influence. The website shared that she was pulled over for driving without her headlights, and after admitting to drinking two glasses of wine at dinner, she was given a field sobriety test and administered a breathalyzer. She failed the tests and blew a .12, resulting in her arrest.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Samantha says, "Do you understand what you're doing right now? I just need to get home. Do you know who my boyfriend is?" When the police responded that they didn't know, she said, "This is going to be bad for me. I'm just saying that right now."
2021: Engagement Rumors
After pushing through Samantha's arrest, rumors began swirling about a possible engagement during the summer of 2021. Samantha was spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring at one of Aaron's baseball games, and fans on social media went wild speculating whether or not the two were getting ready to tie the knot. However, they never addressed the rumors or announced an engagement.
December 2021: Secret Wedding
Aaron and Samantha tied the knot in a very private wedding ceremony at the end of 2021, according to the Daily Mail. The two got married in Maui, Hawaii, surrounded by very close family and friends. Paparazzi were able to snap some photos of the two kissing, Samantha in a wedding dress, and Aaron in a tux. Fellow Yankee players Gary Sanchez, Luis Cessa, and Gleyber Torres were also photographed together on vacation in Hawaii during the same time, leading fans to believe they were at the wedding.
April 2022: Enjoying Other Sports
Aaron and Samantha are rarely spotted out publicly, but in April 2022, the two were seen enjoying a sport other than baseball. They were photographed at the Brooklyn Nets versus Boston Celtics game at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Both appeared full of smiles and sat next to Trevor Noah.
July 2022: Instagram Appearance
Samantha made a rare appearance on Aaron's Instagram during the summer of 2022. It was only the second photo Aaron had posted of the couple, and it featured them alongside his parents out in Los Angeles. In the caption, Aaron wrote, "What a time we had out in LA for the All Star break! Can’t thank Yankee fans and all the fans out there for their support and making this one of the best years yet! Time to get rolling in the 2nd half!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
September 2022: Out in Public
In September of 2022, Aaron and Samantha were again spotted at a sporting event. The two attended the 2022 US Open at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City, where they were photographed sitting side by side.
October 2022: Support System
After he hit his 61st home run, Aaron was asked how his loved ones were handling his home run chase. According to the New York Post, he replied, "My wife has been with me through it all and she’s calm as a cucumber, that’s for sure."
After hitting his 62nd home run on October 4, 2022, Aaron was photographed with Samantha after the game. She made a splash wearing a shirt that said, "World Series Champions."
