Renowned for her modern yet timeless aesthetic, designer Amsale Aberra created sophisticated gowns with crisp, clean lines, and figure celebrating silhouettes. Now under the direction of her husband, daughter, and senior design team, Amsale's legacy lives on through her namesake collections. The Amsale collections feature exquisite draping, classic silhouettes, and hand-embroidered embellishments.
Below, the latest collections from Amsale.
Amsale Fall 2024
For Amsale’s Fall 2024 collection, the design team drew inspiration from ikebana, the Japanese art of arranging flowers. “The Japanese art of floral arranging, ikebana design, is all about simplicity, understated elegance, balance, harmony, and a divine respect for nature,” Amsale head designer Michael Cho says. “Its goal is to convey a specific feeling or emotion to the observer. These are qualities also beautifully embodied in our brand and mirror the philosophies instilled by our founder, Amsale Aberra.” Through floral jacquard, 3D blooms, and embellished stems, this line of wedding dresses honors ikebana in a modern and elegant way.
Another source of inspiration for the collection was karesansui, a style of Japanese gardening where sculpted stone formations are arranged in raked gravel. You’ll find tulle and jacquard materials in the array of dresses, symbolizing the pebble work found in these curated gardens. “These dual art forms emphasize a balanced aesthetic, ensuring that no singular component overwhelms the overarching beauty of the design as a whole,” Cho explains. Below, the first 15 looks from the line.
As it is our absolute commitment that all brides see themselves in our coverage, our editorial team has worked with the brand to confirm that this collection meets the standards outlined in our diversity pledge.

"Each tells a beautiful story of her craftsmanship and attention to a sole focal point." A portion of the proceeds from each gown sold in this collection will also go toward the Amsale Aspire Initiative at the Fashion Institute of Technology—"a program dedicated to eradicating racism in the fashion industry by providing scholarships and opportunities for Black students to develop entrepreneurial skills and build successful fashion careers."
