 Best Embellished Bridal Gloves

Brides / Jaclyn Mastropasqua

Looking for ways to spruce up your bridal ensemble? Turn to one of this year’s biggest bridal trends: embellished gloves. The vintage-inspired look is making a comeback, and for good reason. Embellished gloves are a sophisticated and elegant accessory that brings an old school aesthetic to modern styles. And they work with everything from ballgown and mermaid silhouettes to simple slip dresses.

Wedding stylist Alison Bruhn says that the glove comeback is influenced by current cultural trends inspired by the past. "Bridgerton,’ the Golden Age, and other period dramas, as well as renewed attention on style icons like Princess Diana, Carolyn Bissette Kennedy, and the young Royals…have all brought us to this bridal moment," she adds.

When searching for your perfect pair of embellished wedding gloves, Bruhn suggests keeping quality of materials, length, price, color, and design in mind. She recommends looking for colors that match your dress and to ensure the gloves fit properly, as you don’t want them sliding down or fitting too tightly around your arms. Additionally, she says to “make sure that the embellished gloves aren’t going to snag on your dress or your veil.”

Bruhn recommends ordering your gloves early and getting several pairs from different retailers. This way, you'll make sure that they match with your dress and that you’re getting the best quality gloves for the price.

To help you find the most beautiful bridal gloves—whether you wear them for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, or for your reception outfit change—we’ve researched and selected a few of the best options available.
