7 Wedding Dress Trends from Fall 2023 Bridal Fashion Week

If we were to sum up the Fall 2023 Bridal Fashion Week season in two words, it would be: traditionally unexpected. Simply put, designers, both new and renowned, presented gowns with classic aesthetics mixed with a touch of modernity and individuality. Classic A-line gowns were given an upgrade and featured layers of sumptuous tulle, while traditional strapless dresses were remixed and constructed with mirror embellishments and latex.

For example, Dana Harel presented looks fit for trendy brides with vintage sensibilities, all while remaining loyal to the contemporary blueprint of her brand. Amsale and Monique Lhuillier also triggered the return of dramatic high-low hemlines but with a modern twist; a trend we're coining "mini-low." Overall, there were fresh designs, fun party pieces, and dresses available for today's bride and future brides-to-be.

Is there anything better than being covered in jewels for your wedding? We don't think so, and several designers this season would agree. Claire Pettibone and Ines Di Santo were two of several brands that decided to up the ante in terms of opulence, designing looks dripped with pearls, crystals, and jewels. Not only do these dresses make for a striking bridal moment, but it also allows brides to embrace more accessories on their big day.
