Most couples celebrate Valentine’s Day by sharing a romantic dinner for two and exchanging gifts like boxes of chocolate and bouquets of roses. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, however, spent their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple a little differently. On February 14, 2023, the Shotgun Wedding actress revealed that the newlyweds got coordinating tattoos to mark the occasion. “Commitment ♾️,” the multi-hyphenate posted on Instagram. “Happy Valentine’s Day my love 🤍.” She then teased that she would share more details in her newsletter, On the J Lo, and added a few hashtags, “CommitmentIsSexy #ThisisUsThen #ThisIsUsNow #ThisIsMeNow.”

In the carousel of photos that the “On the Floor” singer uploaded, one shows the new ink on her ribcage, which is an infinity sign that appears to have “Jennifer” and “Ben” written in cursive on it, with an arrow cutting through the symbol. The gallery also includes a snap of her husband’s tattoo, which is a pair of arrows crossing through one another and the initials “J” and “B” above and below the intersection.

In addition to debuting the tattoos, Lopez’s social media post also includes a few couple shots. After one image of the duo touching noses, Lopez adds another of herself sitting on Affleck’s lap on a boat and one of the pair recreating a scene from Lopez’s 2002 “Jenny from the Block” music video on that same boat. Some of the other photos show Lopez hugging Affleck at a decorated table, the couple linking arms, and a throwback of them at the 2003 Oscars.

The couple also celebrated the holiday of love by going on a romantic date night. The newlyweds enjoyed dinner at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica on Tuesday night, according to People. For their evening out, Lopez wore a two-toned frock with a belt, metallic heels, and a high ponytail, the outlet reports. By her side, Affleck sported a midnight blue three-piece suit.

After rekindling their romance in 2021, Bennifer got married at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022. During a press conference for Shotgun Wedding in January of 2022, Lopez revealed why they decided to exchange vows in Sin City. “I think that’s why we ran off to Vegas and got married there first—took all the pressure off of the big family wedding that we were having,” she explained. While making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 18, 2023, Lopez shared that Affleck was the one who suggested eloping to Vegas. After a particularly stressful wedding planning meeting, Affleck said, “F**k it, let’s just go to Vegas and get married tonight,” Lopez remembers. “He was like, ‘Go to rehearsal. When you get back here, I’m going to have everything all set up.’ Three of our kids were at camp. Two of them were with us, and he was like, ‘They’re going to be our witnesses. Let’s go. We’re doing it tonight.’ And we did.”
