“There are so many things you can do here!” says local elopement and proposal planner Coralie Baulard. “If you like nature, there are many parks. Prefer partying? We have some of the most amazing clubs in the world. Let your feet forgive you for all the miles walked at a spa, and taste new flavors at some of the best restaurants in the world.”

With such an abundance of options, it might be tough to decide how to spend your time, so consider this your personal jumpstart. Planning Your Las Vegas Honeymoon

There are a few things Baulard suggests you do as you plan your honeymoon in Las Vegas. Firstly, try to avoid weekends, if possible. "Hotel prices double most of the time,” she explains. Next, you'll want to book your restaurant reservations and any activities well in advance. "Vegas is a busy city,” says Baulard. “The sooner you make sure you’re all set, the better things will be.” And lastly, Baulard encourages couples to venture outside the Strip for at least part of the trip. For example, Nevada’s second-largest city, Henderson, is just a 20-minute drive away and filled with must-try restaurants.

Places to Stay in Las Vegas

It might feel overwhelming when you sit down to decide which hotel(s) to book for your Las Vegas honeymoon—there are a lot! Try thinking about what you want to prioritize during the trip. If you want to be close to the Strip, that will help you narrow down options—alternatively, if you'd rather be a little further from town (and away from the hustle and bustle), that will make your decision a lot easier. Evocative of great city fountains in romance capitals such as Madrid and Rome, the spectacle involves more than a thousand water streams shooting up to 460 feet in the air in a coordinated dance to music and lights. Running every 15 to 30 minutes most afternoons and evenings, it's the perfect over-the-top way to kick off your over-the-top Las Vegas honeymoon. 

Unwind at a Spa

The largest day spa in North America is the Canyon Ranch Spa at The Venetian, and wellness-minded couples will want to devote a full day to exploring every corner of the 134,000-square-foot space. Get your heart rates up by first hitting the rock wall or taking a drop-in fitness class, then cycle through the experiential rooms (options include a wave room and meditation pods) before linking back up for a romantic couples massage. 

Indulge in a Signature Dish

Your honeymoon is nothing if not an occasion to treat yourselves, so go on, spring for that extra dish you wouldn’t normally order. (You deserve it after sticking to that intense wedding workout plan!) There’s no shortage of romantic restaurants in Vegas. Many lean French, Italian, or classic steakhouse, but there’s also something sensual about sushi and sashimi. At Mizumi, you can sip Yuzu highballs at the floating pagoda table, which is situated at the end of a long dock underneath a 90-foot-waterfall. 

Ride in a Gondola

Is it a little cheesy? Sure. But who cares?! While it might not be Italy, the indoor and outdoor gondola rides at The Venetian could just be the next best thing. Cozy up with your boo in the back of the boat and give in fully to the experience, singing gondolier and all. 

Go Stargazing

Situated just west of the city, Mount Charleston is the highest mountain in Clarke County. “Drive far from the light pollution of the city and look at the stars!” suggests Baulard. 

Take a Helicopter Tour

Because the best way to see the bright lights of Las Vegas is from above, consider splurging on a private helicopter tour of the city. Located 10 minutes from the Strip, this white-tablecloth French restaurant boasts not only a delicious menu of French cuisine, but also offers diners stunning lakeside views. 

Barry’s Downtown Prime

A classic steakhouse with vintage glamour vibes, Barry’s Downtown Prime features a moody, atmospheric interior and a menu of fine steak, seafood, and delicious craft cocktails. (Pro tip: Secure a table next to one of the indoor olive trees).

Top of the World

It’s all in the name: Top of the World (located at the Strat hotel and casino) puts diners high atop the city with breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Valley—and it revolves 360 degrees every 80 minutes. It’s worth noting that the restaurant has received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 24 years in a row—so go for the views, stay for the wine list.
