New Nadia Manjarrez Wedding Dresses

After the tragic loss of her father due to COVID, Nadia Manjarrez was inspired to launch Nadia Manjarrez Studio Bridal—her namesake atelier based in Mexico—to pick up the broken pieces in her life and create something meaningful. “Throughout 2020, I have learned that life is short and fragile,” she says. “We are meant to do something impactful that we love, to make up for the many things that we are not able to choose in life.” Her brand is full of versatile, modular, and customizable gowns that radiate hope and beauty at all times.

Nadia Manjarrez Fall 2024

When creating her Fall 2024 collection, Nadia recalled her own wedding day to draw inspiration for her newest designs. From silk organza gowns adorned with black embroidered blooms to corset tops and expertly constructed gowns, Manjarrez's newest line seeks to illustrate the locale where she and her husband tied the knot—a church in Mexico called La Lomita, where stained-glass windows, depicting the story of the Virgin of Guadalupe, illuminated the space. “I grew up attending a traditional church—religion has always been a significant aspect of my cultural and family life,” she reflects. “During my childhood, our Sundays revolved around church, followed by a family breakfast. I spent every Sunday gazing at those stained-glass windows.”

For Nadia Manjarrez's Fall 2023 collection, the designer was inspired by the colors and the symbolism of a sunset. "Sunsets remind us to slow down, reflect on the achievements and successes of the day, and prepare for what’s to come," shared designer Nadia Manjarrez. "I see this collection as just that. It has been one year since we launched, and Fall 2023 was an opportunity to expand on what is working and savor how far we have come as we continue to grow and understand our customer.” The collection is filled with nature-inspired shapes and textures with embroidery, unique modular pieces, and flowing silhouettes.

Nadia Manjarrez 2021

In her debut collection, Nadia created 12 original looks that were each handcrafted in Mexico. Every design is a convertible dress that features detachable trains, skirts, sleeves, or overlays to help brides easily transform their looks and transition from the ceremony to the reception to the after-party without needing to buy multiple dresses. Her wedding gowns are intended to be worn for more than one occasion, so they emphasize versatility, functionality, and wearability.

The sleek and elegant collection features a range of flowing silk, chiffon, lace, organza, and tulle fabrics and romantic silhouettes. Irregular cuts, metallic touches, beaded appliques, and fringe edges also add an unexpected flair to the designs. Inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing porcelain with metal, Nadia decided to use beauty to mend her broken heart after her father’s death.
