Even Sofia Richie Wants to Recreate Her Wedding Makeup Look

From her elegant Chanel gowns to the elaborate floral arrangements, Sofia Richie’s dreamy wedding to Elliot Grainge on April 22, 2023, in Antibes, France, dominated headlines everywhere. One part of the model’s nuptials that fans couldn’t get enough of was her wedding-day makeup look. For her big day, the newly-minted Mrs. Grainge donned a flawless, radiant complexion that makeup artist Pati Dubroff created, and many people on the internet tried to duplicate her glam. On June 24, 2023, Richie decided to try her own hand at the viral makeup look—without any help from a professional. “I’ve seen a lot of you recreate my wedding makeup on your TikToks, and I’m so curious to see if I can recreate it myself,” she said at the beginning of part one of her tutorial. 

Richie continued to attempt her throwback wedding makeup look using some of the products Dubroff used on her big day and some of her own. Even though she didn’t have the exact lineup of cosmetics, she still managed to achieve a fresh-faced look. While applying her foundation, Richie shared the inspiration behind her glam. “When I was speaking with Pati [Dubroff] about what I wanted for my wedding makeup, I really just wanted something timeless, nothing too heavy, obviously covering of any blemishes, but just keeping it super simple and skin, elegant, and pretty,” Richie explained.  

The social media personality also revealed some of the products that defined her iconic makeup look. One of these items was NUDESTIX Nudies Blush Stick in the shade "Picante." “I’m obsessed with Picante,” she gushed. “Like I would’ve said to use like an orangey tone like that, but Pati really introduced me to it, and I’m obsessed.” Another product Richie said she specifically requested for her wedding was Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara. 

In part two of her tutorial, Richie revealed how she kept sweat at bay during her ceremony. “One of my big, big concerns—especially being in the south of France and it being a bit humid and hot—was my T-zone naturally gets really oily, so we didn’t do a bake, but we definitely generously powdered my T-zone just to make sure that—after my seven-and-a-half-minute walk down the aisle—I wouldn’t be dripping sweat,” she shares. She also shared that she continued to reapply her tinted lip balm, Chanel Rouge Coco Baume, throughout the day. “I had this in my pocket,” she says. “I had it stuffed in my dress after the actual ceremony, and I was applying all night.”

After finishing her look, Dubroff shared her input. On the first TikTok Richie posted, the makeup artist simply commented, “OMG.” Other users were similarly impressed with the final product. “Well, you look beautiful with whatever makeup you’re wearing, and yes, you did a great job,” one account said. She even got a stamp of approval from Nudestix: “Final look is EVERYTHING,” the beauty brand exclaimed.

Shortly after Richie and Grainge tied the knot, Dubroff shared her own tutorial with a full rundown of every product she used on the bride. “Sofia’s wedding makeup was really all about just fresh, clean, glowy,” she summarized. According to Richie, she and the makeup artist only met once before she produced her makeup look.
