Of all the Zodiac signs, a Taurus is most likely to have a timeless wedding. The Venus-ruled sign is all about romance and beauty, so they likely dream of hosting an elevated event that celebrates their new union in style. Known for its symbol the Bull, Taurus has a slow and steady demeanor, and they will put plenty of thought into who will be their mate for life as well as what their eventual wedding day will look like. But once this Earth sign knows they’re all in, the Bull will want to host an experience full of luxury to celebrate this milestone with the one they love.
“A Taurus would take a traditional approach to wedding planning and choose a classic, elegant venue,” shares astrologer Julia Topaz, founder of Look Up the Stars Astrology. “They will take their time to plan the wedding and might even drag their feet. But in the end, the result will be elegant, simple, and very well organized.”Sensual experiences around food and aesthetics are incredibly important to this sign, so it’s no surprise they will invest the most effort into planning these details. “When it comes to food, atmosphere, and beverages—this is the zodiac sign that will place these as paramount concerns,” adds astrologer Kyle Thomas.

Want to know more about how a Taurus will plan their wedding day? From fashion choices to florals to the honeymoon they’ll enjoy the most, we asked astrologers to give us insights to learn what kind of wedding is written in the Bull’s stars. Read ahead for a breakdown of how a Taurus will approach their wedding planning journey.
Wedding Planning
“Practical Taurus likes to take a slow and methodical approach to all planning—especially a major event such as a wedding,” shares Thomas. “While they are ruled by Venus and do have a knack for luxury and opulence, they will likely also want to make sure that they’re not going too far into the red when it comes to organizing the event. As an Earth sign, they will likely wish to draw up a budget and make sure that not only are they getting a ‘deal,’ but are also balancing where to indulge and where to cut back.”
Wedding planning may take a bit longer for a Taurus, but they will give themselves the time necessary to make it happen. They will likely book a venue far in advance to give themselves plenty of lead time. “This zodiac sign is more prone toward long-term relationships, taking their time with a longer engagement than some of the other zodiac signs,” Thomas explains.
Wedding Season
According to the astrological calendar, there are a few times of year a Taurus is best positioned for romance and marriage. Thomas shares that if Taurus wants to pick an ideal wedding date, they would consider tying the knot during Taurus season, which takes place from April 20 to May 20, throughout Virgo season, ranging from August 23 to September 22, and in Scorpio season, which lands between October 23 and November 21. If a Taurus wants to host a winter wedding, consider booking your venue near a full moon in Virgo, which takes place each year between February 19 and March 20.
Wedding Venue
The zodiac sign most likely to get married at a castle? You can put your bets on the Bull. “Taurus will put great stake on the romantic, classic ambiance of a venue,” says Thomas. “They tend to prefer more opulent settings and may be inclined to have a major component that includes nature.” The Earth sign will likely host their wedding ceremony on the grounds of their venue as they love the great outdoors.
Wedding Décor
When it comes to wedding décor, a Taurus will favor all things beautiful and timeless. Topaz shares that the Bull will enjoy an aesthetic that feels classic and feminine, so you can expect calligraphed paper goods, plenty of florals, and elegant accents throughout this sign’s ceremony and reception. As for the shades used to ground the design? “A neutral color palette of cream, green, and brown answers to their down-to-earthness,” suggests astrologer Lisa Stardust.
Wedding Food and Drink
Being a foodie is one of the key traits of a Taurus, so you can expect them to put plenty of thought into what they will serve at the most important party of their lives. You won’t have to worry about going hungry at this wedding because the Bull will make sure there are yummy bites available from the moment guests arrive to when the after party ends. Their love of sugary treats might be translated into cocktail hour with a delicious signature sip. Stardust says the Bull might choose a Love Potion cocktail for the menu, which “represents the innate sweet nature of the romantic sign Taurus.” A Taurus loves a hearty meal, so the astrologer notes that steak will definitely be on the reception menu.
Wedding Cake
“Taurus is all about the finer things in life, but are also down to earth,” shares Stardust. Their wedding cake will represent that with a beautifully designed confection with a more classic leaning. A stylish multi-tiered cake with beautiful sugar ruffles would appeal to the Bull, but the sign might keep their towering design in a classic white hue versus opting for more dramatic coloring.
Wedding Fashion
As far as wardrobe is concerned, the Bull loves romantic designs, comfortable silhouettes, and high-quality materials in everyday life, and this same ethos would extend to their wedding day. “Taurus would opt for a luxurious, timeless dress that enhances their natural beauty,” offers Topaz. “Less is more.” They might even take a vintage approach to fashion, Stardust explains. “To embrace their Venusian sentiments, their wedding dress [would be] made of chiffon in a vintage 1920s style in a blush or pink color,” she says.
For a Taurus groom, “the suit will be classic with a pop of color to match the dress,” Stardust adds. The practical sign might not have many accessories, but they would be likely to swap their heels to a pair of shoes that are easier to dance in later in the evening.
Honeymoon Destination
Once the wedding day is over, Taurus will be excited for a post-nuptial retreat to a place where they can experience new food, culture, and art. A trip to Italy—where all three key elements are on offer—would be a perfect destination for the Bull and his or her new spouse to visit. “Tauruses are extremely indulgent, which is why they’ll travel luxuriously–business class if they have to–to a place rich with artistic history like Venice,” says Stardust. However, the sign may delay the trip by a week or two. The homebody may need a bit of time to recover from their wedding celebration before jetting off on their next big adventure.
