Never underestimate the power of your wedding invitations. Not only does this single piece of paper share all the important details of your nuptials—time, venue, and dress code, to name a few—but it can also set the mood for the big day. So, what type of vibe do you want to create? Well, the answer might lie in the stars.

Your astrological sign can have a lot of sway in your nuptials, from what type of bride you’ll be to how you’ll plan your wedding. So, why would your invitations be any different? To help, astrologer Sofia Adler is breaking down the best invitation ideas based on every zodiac sign. The insight below highlights every individual sign, so feel free to combine these takeaways to suit your relationship’s star-crossed connection.

Minted + Brides Pick: Delicate Brushstrokes

As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries are bold leaders who follow the beat of their own drum. In that vein, Adler encourages this fire sign to forgo tradition. “Forget the conventional invite, or the design your wedding planner or family prefers,” she explains. “Don't be afraid to go against the grain here, Aries. Choose the invite that feels the most you.”

Want to incorporate caricatures of you and your partner? Ready to shake up the invitation’s wording from the traditional text? The sky’s the limit, Aries, so go for it! The good news is that you won’t have to spin your wheels to find an invitation that feels authentic. To help, check out our list of unique alternatives to traditional invites.

Minted + Brides Pick: Wild Nature

There’s more to a Taurus than their content, stable nature. Turns out, they’re big believers in the power of touch. When it comes to selecting the perfect invitation, it all boils down to that card stock. “Taurans love to indulge and really appreciate nice things,” Adler shares.  “This sign will appreciate the lush weight and feel of premier paper.” So, what are your options? Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Minted + Brides Pick: Margaux

Don’t let Geminis’ dual personas fool you: This sign is all about communication. And, while an invitation’s overall look does matter, the magic lies in the words. “Instead of settling for the typical wedding invite lingo, consider writing your invite copy yourself. What story do you want to tell?” Whether you want to write a thoughtful haiku or an abridged version of your love story, here’s your permission to get a little creative.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Minted + Brides Pick: Floral Ampersand Monogram

Cancer signs are homebodies at heart, so it’ll be important for them to make their guests feel comfortable at their wedding. So, why not create a warm, welcoming spirit before the special day? “Rather than approach your invites from a logical, head-driven place, think about the feeling and emotion you want to convey to your guests,” Adler shares. “You love feeling at home and making others feel that way too, so be sure to include as inclusive language as possible.” She adds that Cancer signs have a natural ability to feel, so you might feel inclined to pepper your invitation with tactile touches like a bow or embossed letters.

Leo (July 23-August 22)

No zodiac sign loves glitz and glamour quite like a Leo. That’s exactly why you should embrace your inner lion or lioness and give your invitations a statement-making spin? “Leos love all things flashy and celebratory,” Adler says. “Don't be afraid to make a statement with those invites, Leo. Every touchpoint counts.” From sparkles and glitter to a photo of the happy couple, it turns out that a delicate dose of drama is just what your stationery deserves.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

Minted + Brides Pick: Simple Elegance

Rocking a Virgo sign?  Chances are, you bring a practical approach to just about everything you do. And, yes, that includes choosing your wedding invitations. “Virgos like things to be neat, and in order,” she shares. “Simple block print will be best for this sign, with an easy to follow layout and design.” If you want to give your invitations a little something extra, stick with a slim border and a neutral color palette. Simple, sophisticated, and straightforward—just like you, Virgo!

Libra (September 23-October 22)

Minted + Brides Pick: Boho Chic

There’s a reason why a set of scales represent Libras; this air sign is all about balance and stability. Fortunately, it’s incredibly easy to incorporate those Libra principles into your wedding invitation. “A beautiful, symmetrical invite style is the way to go for you. The design and patterns should look balanced and even,” Adler explains. “No need for anything loud here.”

When it comes to wedding invitations, a symmetrical look is as close to visual ASMR as you can get. However, just because you favor a clean layout doesn’t mean your invitation will be boring. She adds that Libras have an impeccable sense of style, so you can alway spruce up your invitations with beautiful calligraphy or a stunning color scheme.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Minted+Brides Pick: Arched Pampas

From crisp, white linens to that show-stopping bridal gown, weddings are often associated with a light color palette. But, if you’re a Scorpio, you might be itching to embrace your dark side. (Don’t worry, we’re totally here for this.) “You're drawn to darkness because you know that only through darkness will you find the light,” Adler shares. “Don't be afraid to shine in your own way. Consider an invitation with a dark background and light text.” Though this reverse color combination might be unexpected, it’ll lay the foundation for a cool and oh-so-sophisticated day.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

Minted + Brides Pick: Floral Splash

Known as free spirits, Sagittarius are arguably the life of any party. This fire sign cares less about the details and more about seeing the big picture. Translation? They probably won’t lose sleep over finding the trendiest invites. “We know you'd rather focus on the fun party you're about to host, but you do need invites to the wedding,” Adler says. “Choose an invite style that conveys your spice for life best, and don't forget to include the 4-1-1 on the post-ceremony dancing, too.” In other words, just go with the flow. Find an invitation that has all the details and best reflects the epic party you’re about to throw.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Minted + Brides Pick: Beautifully Scripted

When in doubt, you can’t go wrong with an invitation that embraces tradition. And, since Capricorns value ambition, practicality, and discipline, they’ll be sure to follow the age-old rules. “Capricorn, we know you're all about being professional and put together — and that your wedding invites are no exception,” “Skip the guesswork: the traditional invite look is your go-to.” Since it doesn’t get more classic than a black-and-white invitation, we’re rounded up 19 high-contrast creations to consider.

Despite living in a digital world, many couples still stick with physical invitations. However, Aquarius have all the traits to finally bring this tradition to modern times. “A sign all about the future (hello, technology) and doing things that benefit the collective, the best invitation for an Aquarius is an e-vite,” Adler explains. “Paper is so antiquated–not to mention bad for the environment, too.” Don’t worry, you don’t have to navigate the nuanced world of e-vites alone; we broke down everything you need to know about going digital.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

Minted + Brides Pick: Sketched Flora

Sensitive, creative, and emotionally aware, Pisces signs are deeply connected to their spiritual side.  And, since your nuptials are all about two souls merging into one, your invitation is the perfect opportunity to double down on those vibes. “A creative celestial or spiritual theme with soft blue and purple hues is a nice fit for the mystical, dreamer Pisces,” Adler shares .

At the end of the day, however, the astrologer shares that the most important thing is to trust your intuition when choosing the right invite for you. But, thanks to your mind-soul connection, you have this covered. Want to find a design that fits your sign? We recommend checking out our collaboration with Minted, which has tons of amazing customizable invites, websites, and even thank you cards that fit your astrological leanings.
