Vivienne Westwood Bridal 2023
This year, Vivienne Westwood's made-to-order and bespoke bridal couture collection pays homage to the beauty and allure of the night sky. The design's colors and shapes are inspired by the vast cosmos, with sweeping necklines and striking drapery as core elements of the collection. Beautiful embellishments—like graceful trains, capes, and boleros—orbit the gowns' silhouettes as sequins, satins, and metallics give the pieces an "astral luminosity," as noted in the designer's press release.

Vivienne Westwood Bridal 2022
Vivienne Westwood's 2022 bridal couture collection effortlessly marries avant-garde designs and historical icons with contemporary details. The newly released line not only highlights Westwood's signature edgy aesthetic, but goes even further to push the boundaries of bridal fashion—as seen through Andreas Kronthaler's bespoke pieces.
Taking inspiration from influential women throughout history, this season "experiments with proportions" drawing inspiration from the likes of "Marilyn Monroe and a classic 1950’s look or [modern interpretations] of a historic Marie Antoinette gown," as noted in a statement released by the brand.
Though the collection can be seen as an ode to past trends, Westwood and Kronthaler made sure they stayed true to today's concerns, keeping sustainability top of mind. "Prioritising quality and longevity in the design of each gown, the couture team can now offer a service to transform each bridal gown post-wedding, with the aim to eliminate waste and give each Westwood gown a new life," the brand states.
